Hundreds turned out Saturday morning to take part in a walk to benefit disabilities.

The event started at 8 am at Barnet Park in Spartanburg and ended at the Snyder Soccer Field at the Wofford campus. The event helped benefit the J.C. Stroble Glaucoma Awareness Foundation and the Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities.

This is the fourth year for the Mayor’s walk, which celebrates the accomplishments of individuals with disabilities. On site blood pressure checks, eye screenings and other informative medical tests were available for those who wanted them.
