Man Arrested For Kidnapping, Assault

The Mauldin Police Department and United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested a man who allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a person.

Steven Ray Haynes, of 111 Corn St., Fountain Inn, was arrested Thursday at a Greenville residence and charged with kidnapping and asaault battery with intent to kill after the incident. The alleged incident occured at the Xpressway gas station on Old Mill Road in Mauldin on June 25 when Haynes allegedly kidnapped the person and then assaulted the person with a weapon that resulted in a concussion.

Haynes is currently at the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
