Man Killed in Early Morning Accident Near Greer

The SC Highway Patrol reports a man has died in an accident while traveling on highway 101 - 8 miles of Greer.

They say it happened around 2:40 Tuesday morning.

They say 20 year old Brandon Scott McDaniel went left of center in the curve, over corrected, went of the right side, overcorrected and went off the left side of the road and struck a telephone pole.

McDaniel was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway patrol says he was a student at North Greenville University.
