The mother of a disabled seven-year-old boy is behind bars in Moncks Corner and deputies are looking for his father, after an investigation prompted by the boy’s weight.
Yolanda Pough is facing neglect charges after she brought the boy to MUSC because his feeding tube fell out.
The official report indicates, when doctors saw him, the child was severely malnourished, and weighing just 15 pounds.
Deputies later discovered that he had not received his medication for 18 months, and had not had medical care in two years.
Right now, deputies are still looking for the boy’s father. Benny Penninger will face neglect charges as soon as he is arrested.

What is this world coming too? These precious children will be the adults of tomorrow…the ones who will decide what nursing home their parents go into. How can we expect them to turn out to be productive adults when they are being abused in various ways by those who are suppose to love and protect them? This world is so messed up!!
These parents need to get the same penalty as the couple who starved the 2 boys a couple weeks ago.
