New Book On SC State Parks In Bookstores

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A new coffee table book highlighting South Carolina’s 47 state parks is in bookstores.
The book, “Beautiful Places: The Timeless Beauty of South Carolina State Parks,“ goes on sale Tuesday.
The 140-page hardcover book includes more than 100 color photos from state parks and was commissioned as part of the 75th anniversary of South Carolina’s state parks.
Two years in the making, the book features photos by Jon O. Holloway of Greenwood, whose work has appeared in such publications as National Geographic.
The publication was underwritten by FUJIFILM Manufacturing of Greenwood and BMW, which has a plant in Spartanburg County. All proceeds go to the Beautiful Places Alliance which helps pay for improvements at South Carolina’s state parks.
