The search for a killer is on, and many are mourning, after a television news anchor, who was brutally beaten earlier this week has died. Her parents, who were with her when she died, released a statement saying she passed away Saturday evening.
Anne Pressly grew up in the Upstate, but her family moved to Arkansas while she was in high schoool.
She was attacked in her Little Rock home on Monday. Doctors say nearly every bone in her face was broken.
Investigators are still trying to figure out who did it and why.
Pressly’s father believes that she was targeted and that the crime wasn’t a random attack. Her parents continue to ask for your prayers.
Anne Pressly was only 26 years old.
A Statement from the Family of Anne Pressly
“We are profoundly saddened to tell you that our dear Anne has lost her struggle for life. It was our hope, as was yours, that Anne would overcome the injuries inflicted upon her in the brutal attack at her home. We were with her in her last moments, and although our hearts are broken, we are at the same time comforted by our faith knowing that Anne is now with our Heavenly Father.
The outpouring of compassion we have received is truly a testament to the way in which Anne has touched so many people in a positive way. Thank you for your prayers and your many acts of kindness. We are grateful for the wonderful care Anne received from her doctors, nurses and others at St. Vincent.
Our lives will not be the same without her. We ask that you continue to pray for us as we struggle to move forward without our dear sweet daughter. We also ask that you give us the privacy we need at this very difficult time.“

My heart goes out to the Pressly family and I’m very sorry to hear about the death of their daughter Anne Pressly. She was a very great person and a good news anchor in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was gone way too soon.
Anne Pressly is a Greenville, South Carolina native. I’m sorry to hear that she was severely beaten in her home early last week and she died from her injuries and I hate to see it happen to good people like Anne Pressly.
My heart goes out to the Pressly family about the loss of their daughter Anne Pressly. So please be strong about it. I know what you are going through from your personal tragedy.
In the future they need to do something to protect our News people from getting hurt like this tragedy in the murder of Anne Pressly that it will not happen ever again.
The Pressly family and Anne Pressly are in my prayers.
Sincerely,

My condolences to the family and I hope they get the privacy they want at this time. I also hope they catch the person or persons responsible. They need to be held accountable. I fully believe what goes around comes around and God will punish in his own way. The family statement was touching. Having once been a battered woman it touches a cord with me however this seems to be something much different and worse. Never let yourself be alone. Always have a sidekick with you. You are a target if you are alone and think of safety first. This is so sad. She was so beautiful. I can remember once a man telling me if he could not have me he would mess up my face so no man would want me. I think it just went too far and perhaps they did not intend to kill her. They will find the one responsible. I believe that.
I was so saddened to hear of the passing of anchorwoman, Anne Pressly today. Please forward my condolences to her family and friends in this time of mourning and loss. Her story struck a chord with me when I heard on the news coverage of this that she received wake-up calls from her mother just to make sure she was up and ready for work. I’m 41 and still need those from time to time. Thank Heaven for our special Mothers…
Peace, Prayers, & Blessings,

Dear Lord, yesterday, YOU went to Ann’s hospital room and gently told her it was time to go home. YOU lifted her into YOUR loving arms and took her to heaven to live with YOU. I totally trust YOU, Lord, although I am asking myself WHY?? Why did this happen to such a young, vibrant person? Right now, there are no answers, but I pray that in the days and weeks to come, YOU will disclose who did this horrible deed.
I pray that YOU will wrap your loving arms around her parents as they go thru this horrible time, grant them peace & love that only YOU can give. We know that YOU are in control of this situation, and help us all to have faith & trust in YOU as we try to understand this senseless act of violence.
AMEN
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It is unimaginable. It makes no sense. My heart is with you, please be strong.
Tom
