Christians Rally for “I Believe” License Plates
I Believe Rally Package
I Believe Rally PackageUpstate Christians spoke out Tuesday night for the right to put the Cross on their cars.
Several hundred people turned out for a rally at the People’s Baptist Church in Greer, and they got support from some political heavy-hitters. Lt. Governor, and potential Gubernatorial candidate, Andre Bauer spoke out on his support of the “I Believe” license plates, as well as Attorney General Henry McMaster. McMaster is also a potential Gubernatorial candidate. The plate is currently caught up in the court system, and a federal judge ordered the state DMV to stop making the tags. Opponents say the plates violates the separation of church and state. But those at tonight’s rally say their rights are being ripped from them.

Issuing the “I Believe” plate should not be allowed and shows the lack of seperation of church and state. Unless there are plans to issue plates for everyone who has different beliefs this would not be a good idea.
Andre Bauer is a representative of the State of South Carolina and needs to act in such a manner to represent everyone here, no matter what his personal belief happens to be.
The fact that “In God We Trust” appears on government items also shows lack of church and state.
Being denied the right to be able to purchase an “I Believe” tag is violating our civil rights. Christians are being discriminated against while others can freely expressed their beliefs/support. If Christians cannot express their beliefs/support with the “I Believe” tag then all the other supportive tags should be pulled. It is time for Christians to stop the minority from denying us our rights in a country founded in our belief & trust in God. Our freedom is being denied.
