MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Republican legislators in South Carolina are venting anger over one of their own - Gov. Mark Sanford.

The legislators held their House Majority Caucus meeting Saturday to set their agenda and capped their discussion with no one speaking in favor of the governor.

Rep. Greg Delleney says Sanford should be impeached solely because he disappeared from the state for five days in June to see his mistress in Argentina without leaving anyone clearly in control. Rep. Annette Young says after an ethics investigation into Sanford’s travel is completed, the Legislature should act on
impeachment.

But House Speaker Bobby Harrell says there are no plans to call a special session to take up impeachment.

The Legislature resumes in January.

Everyone is in favor of impeachment but it is not going to happen as long as no one gets the ball rolling! What are they waiting for?
