A couple is charged with child neglect after deputies say they made a disgusting discovery inside their home.
Spartanburg County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the mobile home in Greer Tuesday in reference to a domestic violence call. According to the incident report, 26 year old Jeffrey Booker attacked his girlfriend with a baseball bat. Deputies say 27 year old Amy Coleman told them she defended herself with a sword.
Investigators arrested Booker for domestic violence. They later charged him and his girlfriend with child neglect after searching the inside of the home. They say they saw “cockroaches swarming all over the door and floor and anything within plain view.“ They also saw roaches crawling in the children’s beds and on a bag of diapers. The report also states there was no edible food in the refrigerator and mold was growing on a pile of dirty clothes.
Deputies removed the couple’s two sons from the home and place them in emergency custody. The children are two and three years old.

I am glad the deputies took action when they found the unsafe conditions..no telling what else the children have been through!
If it weren’t for the children this would be humorous. He had a baseball bat and she defended herself with a SWORD!
