WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush says the United States will “never tire, never falter and never fail.“

In his televised farewell address Thursday night, he said some may not agree with “the tough decisions” he made, but they must agree that he was willing to make them.

Bush said like all who have held the office before him, he experienced setbacks. And he said there are things he would do differently if given the chance. But he said he “always acted with the best interests” on the country.

He also took the opportunity to praise President-elect Barack Obama calling him “a man whose history reflects the enduring promise of our land.“
