A judge says prosecutors may seek the execution of a man accused of killing a popular television anchorwoman.

The trial of the man charged in the beating death of an Arkansas television anchorwoman from South Carolina is being delayed by nearly two months.

Curtis Lavelle Vance appeared in court Thursday. Through his lawyer, the 28-year-old entered a not-guilty plea to capital murder and rape charges in the October death of 26-year-old Anne Pressly.

Curtis Vance is to be arraigned Friday in Arkansas for the beating death of Anne Pressly, a TV anchorwoman originally from Greenville.

Pressly, who grew up in South Carolina—was brutally beaten in Arkansas on Oct. 20.

Police are hoping a Web site can help them crack the case of a Greenville-native and Little Rock, Ark. television anchor killed in Oct.

Anne’s father, Guy Cannady said, “(Officials) are a little bit frustrated, as we all are, that progress has not been made yet, but I have every confidence in the process and the procedures that they’re using and going forward with.“

Police in Little Rock, Arkansas are still searching for a suspect in last Monday’s assault of Anne Pressly, a Little Rock television reporter and Greenville, S.C. native. Pressly died on Saturday as a result of her injuries.

Friends in the Upstate are speaking out about the Greenville native.

Anne Pressly, an anchor with KATV in Little Rock, Ark., was attacked in her home. She was found bleeding from “severe wounds” at about 4:30am.
