It was quite the week for me to be on vacation.

And I’m not even talking about Mark Sanford’s confession.

Here are my thoughts about the famous people who left us in late June.

I had the opportunity to do the weather with Ed McMahon many years ago while on tv in Atlanta.  Here’s a glimpse into the morning I met this wonderfully kind person.

McMahon had bone cancer, among other illnesses, according to a person close to the entertainer, and had been hospitalized for several weeks.
