South Carolina is reporting fewer H1N1 flu cases, but more deaths from the disease.

Hundreds of people waited in line in the rainy and windy weather to receive their H1N1 flu shot at the Greenville County Health Department.

H1N1 vaccination clinics are being held Wednesday in Spartanburg and Greenville counties.

South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is offering H1N1 vaccines throughout the Upstate.

The first two H1N1 vaccine clinics in the Upstate open on Saturday.

Buncombe County Health Center has received additional H1N1 flu vaccine and will hold a vaccine clinic this Saturday, November 7th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. 

Soon, DHEC will be setting up shop in area school districts to help prevent H1N1 from spreading in the Carolinas.

People waited in lines for up to a couple of hours to get their children vaccinated.

The declaration means hospitals could change patient rules to allow them faster
access to treatment, with government approval.
