Severe storms moved through NC, cause major damage

Severe thunderstorms pounded the Upstate and WNC, leaving thousands without power and with debris in yards

These days, we see more video of nasty weather from across the country than we used to, but that does not necessarily mean the weather has gotten any worse over the past several years.

Severe storms can cause damage, but there is actually a definition that classifies a particular storm as severe.  Do you know what it is?
