It’s the time of year when we often need to rely on the Tropics to bring us nedded rainfall.

We’re entering what’s typically the busy time of hurricane season…and on cue, the Tropics heat up.

We’re back in a dry spell and an El Nino is developing.  One may effect the other down the road.

Hurricane season is here, and meteorologists will be meeting in Atlanta beginnning tomorrow to discuss the impacts hurricanes can have on INLAND locations like ours.

NOAA’s May outlook for the 2009 Atlantic hurricane season is out, and, as usual, be ready for just about anything.

National Guard officers from 27 states and federal responders say their first-ever conference has helped fine tune emergency plans for the upcoming hurricane season.

Hurricane season is not over yet…and while we should be seeing fewer and fewer storms as we approach the end of the season, we can never let our guard down.

The tropics are heating up in different parts of the Atlantic Basin.  There are very few problems with any of these systems, and one of them promises to bring us a much needed chance for rain.  When and where will the next system form?  There are several choices out there depending which if any of these areas decides to get organized.
