A man charged with murdering his girlfriend in Laurens County was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday.

17-year-old Veronica Inez Herold was driving a Ford Escort on North Old Laurens Road in Fountain Inn, when she left the roadway and over corrected, causing the vehicle to flip.

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has charged 21 year old Ashley Nicole Hepburn of Cross Hill with murder in connection with the death of her 16 month old daughter.
