Election Commission Clarifies Confusion About Voting Procedures
An email circulating states that voters planning to vote for Obama cannot vote for the Democratic candidate on a straight party ballot. The email states voters must chose the candidate and the party if they are voting a straight party ballot. The State Election Commission says this isn’t true.

USC Journalism Professor Weighs In On Final Presidential Debate
The last presidential debate is tonight. We talked to Prof. Sid Bedingfield, the former head of CNN’s political coverage. He said with McCain trailing in the polls, the GOP candidate will have to start turning things around with tonight’s debate. Obama, Bedingfield said, only needs to avoid a major mistake.

Presidential Campaign Coverage Imbalance
A company that monitors news coverage has found that, since June, the three major nightly newscasts have spent 114 minutes covering Barack Obama and 48 minutes covering John McCain. Network news executives say they’re covering Obama more because he’s making history as the first African-American nominee of a major party. But analysts say the networks are causing legitimate concern about fairness.
