News Channel 7 Political Analyst Doug Smith says tonight’s runoff results are a continuation of the “bloodbath” that occured two weeks ago.  The only legislative incumbent from Spartanburg to win his seat this primary was Keith Kelly.

Shane Martin carried the momentum he gained two weeks ago into a solid victory tonight for the State Senate District 13 seat.

Greer City Councilman Joseph Baldwin has defeated incumbent Tony Trout for the Greenville County Council 18 seat.

Voice of the Voter: Rock Adams defeated by newcomer Hall

In another upset this evening, political newcomer Jane Hall has defeated longtime Spartanburg County councilmember Rock Adams.

Lee Bright has defeated Scott Talley for the open State Senate District 12 seat in Spartanburg. 

Voice of the Voter: Howard Wells Loses Sheriff Seat

Longtime Union County Sheriff Howard Wells has lost his bid for another term as sheriff.

Voice of the Voter: Waldrep Retains County Council Seat

Anderson County Council incumbent Bob Waldrep retained his council seat tonight by defeating challenger Raymond MacKay.
