Rangers reported to the scene of a Polk County fire Wednesday to check on fire lines and hot spots after battling a blaze all day Tuesday on the top of White Oak Mountain.

Twenty Five thousand people are expected to attend the The Blue Ridge BBQ Festival Friday night and Saturday. And along with dozens of vendors, something interesting is taking place behind the scenes. The festival has gone green.
