There are more than 7,000 outages across the Upstate Friday morning according to Duke Energy from storms. Rough weather turned a man into a hero when he rescued a woman after a tree fell on her home.

Crews are cleaning up after storms caused flooding and some minor damage throughout the upstate of South Carolina and western North Carolina Thursday.

On the surface, spring or “spring-like” weather would lead you to believe we’ll be warm.  Spring weather is marked by gradually warming days and nights, but most of all, true spring weather means plenty of change.

Since I started filling in for Christy Henderson while she had her baby, it has been very busy in the Storm Team 7 Weather Center.

Trees came crashing down in Woodruff, and power outages reported all over the Upstate

The main threat from any severe storms will be damaging wind gusts with the possibility of penny-sized hail.

The National Weather Service says rain showers and thunderstorms will move across the Carolinas and northeast Georgia Tuesday afternoon. Several of those storms are forecast to be strong to severe.
