In less than two weeks those driving in North Carolina will no longer be able to text while driving and South Carolina may be a step closer to doing that same thing.

  “It would be like banning chocolate… It ain’t gonna happen!“

    I heard that comment tonight from WBT Radio weeknight host John Hancock about a national safety group’s proposal on cell phone.

    The National Safety Council is advocating a total ban on cell phone use while driving.  The council says the practice is clearly dangerous and leads to fatalities.

One of the bills would ban the use of cell phones while driving unless you use a hands-free device. It would also make it illegal to text while driving.
