Rain or Shine?

Today marked the seventh consecutive day with rain reported at GSP.  Thursday night was particularly active with 2 rounds of severe storms moving through the Upstate.  The airport in Anderson reported a wind gust of 55 mph - so people had to worry about gusty winds as well as torrential rainfall. 

In talking to people around the area it seems like there’s a little rain fatigue going on. We desperately needed rain, and now that we’ve had a good deal of it since early April, and especially now that we’ve seen it around everyday for the past week, some would like to not see it or even hear about it - at least for a short time!  Still, there are some who say - “let the rain keep coming - we need it for the summer months!“. 

Which camp are you in?  Would you vote for more rain, or are you saying - “enough already - let’s dry it out for a while”?  Either way, at least our lakes are filling up and the grass is green - and growing fast!
