Look Up for the Lyrid Meteor Shower

Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight; perhaps mostly clear in some areas by very early Wednesday morning.  That’s good news for skywatchers, as the Lyrid meteor shower will be at its peak in the very early morning hours of Wednesday.  Astronomers expect an average of ten to twenty meteors (you might think of them as “shooting stars”) to streak across the dark skies.
