Spartanburg County Lawmaker Introduces Bill to Require School Audits

Rep. Joey Millwood says, “This bill basically is a qualitative audit.  It gets into the school districts, finds out where the money is going, what they are doing with it, and if there is something there that could be cut.“  Millwood says it would undercover wasteful spending not being discovered during the current auditing process.  School districts are already audited by independent auditors and say this would be redundant.
