Saturday at GSP FedEx:  News Channel 7 Versus a 727!

    I haven’t participated in a tug-of-war since the mid/late 1960’s when I was at field day in junior high.

    This Saturday (11/8/08) I pick up the rope again as part of a team from News Channel 7.

    And on the other end of the rope will be a FedEx 727!

    We’re flexing our muscles in the “Plane Pull for Preemies,“ a fundraiser for the March of Dimes.

    The event is at 10 a.m. at the FedEx terminal at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.  Our turn to show the 727 who’s boss is at 10:20.

    The FedEx facility is easy to find.  From Interstate 85, take Highway 101 toward Greer, pass BMW, and FedEx will be on the left.

    The News Channel 7 team includes meteorologists Richard McCollough and Justin Cooper, plus men and women from other departments at the station.

    We’re gonna put a whuppin’ on that plane!  It’s gonna roll!
