Swinney Tells Story Of Learning TCU Was On Schedule

Clemson’s game with number 15 TCU scheduled for this Saturday at 3:30 didn’t come about until this past spring after contests planned with Central Michigan and then Idaho fell through due to contractual issues.

With the Tigers in need of another home game (as a stated desire to play at least seven at home each season) the options were to add a second FCS (1-AA) program to the schedule (for a second straight year) to go with a game already set with Coastal Carolina or find a FBS/Division 1A opponent.
