East Carolina Stays Alive by Beating South Carolina, 8-6
South Carolina mounted a late rally with four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning with the potential tying run on second base but East Carolina reliever Seth Simmons was able to get the final two outs of the game to lift the Pirates to an 8-6 win over South Carolina on Sunday evening at Clark-LeClair Stadium.

South Carolina starting pitcher Sam Dyson hurled his first career complete game and tied a career-high with eight strikeouts as the Gamecocks defeated Auburn 8-3 on Friday evening at Carolina Stadium in game one of a three-game SEC baseball series.
Senior righthander Rhett Ballard pitched 7.0 strong innings to lead Virginia Tech to a 5-2 win over #18 Clemson in front of 1,097 fans at English Field on Friday.
A walk-off grand slam by Michael Gilmartin lifted the Wofford College baseball team to an 8-6 win over Furman on Friday evening at Russell C. King Field.

USC and Clemson Score Double Digit Runs in Tuesday Wins
South Carolina tied a season-high for runs scored and the Gamecocks belted out 21 hits on its way to a 20-6 victory over College of Charleston on Tuesday night at Carolina Stadium.
Jeff Schaus, Ben Paulsen, and Kyle Parker, the Tigers’ 3-4-5 batters in the starting lineup, combined to go 9-for-12 with seven runs to lead #18 Clemson to an 11-1 victory over Western Carolina in front of 1,249 fans at Hennon Stadium on Tuesday night. The Tigers improved to 24-12, while the Catamounts dropped to 20-13.

Bangs Sharp as USC Beats Davidson on the Diamond, 6-0
South Carolina sophomore right-hander Parker Bangs pitched seven scoreless innings in his first career start and combined with freshman reliever Matt Price to hurl a three-hit shutout as South Carolina defeated Davidson 6-0 on Tuesday evening at Carolina Stadium. The win marked Carolina’s fourth shutout of the year and improved the Gamecocks to 12-4 while the loss drops the Wildcats to 8-7 for the season. South Carolina returns to action on Wednesday evening vs. Furman at Fluor Field in Greenville.
