Easley football coach Jabo Burgess will guide the Green Wave for the final time Friday night at Wren after resigning from his job as his fifth season winds down.

The Green Wave is 1-9 after a winless 2008.

Burgess is 18-37 in his first head coaching job and owns two of Easley’s eight winning seasons since 1976.

The school’s athletic director Chris Carter says a search will begin in early December with the goal to have a successor in place after the new year.
