Woodmont High School football coach Richard Schrader has stepped down after five seasons at the Greenville County school.
Schrader indicated to the Greenville News that the move was based on differences he had with the school’s administration as the Wildcats move up to AAAA next year.
The Wildcats endured a 1-9 season, one in which the coach battled health issues that forced him to miss games in the first few weeks.
Woodmont tied its school record for wins in 2008 with an 8-4 mark that included a trip to the second round of the playoffs.
Schrader posted a 14-42 mark in his tenure, his first as a high school head coach.
