Greer’s Stephens Added To U.S. Women’s Open Field

Greer’s Haley Stephens learned Monday she’s been added to the U.S. Women’s Open field for next week’s tourney in Pennsylvania.

Stephens, who just completed her senior year at Riverside High School, initially qualified as an alternate when she fired a 74 and 72 in rounds played at Sanford, North Carolina earlier this month.  She was the fifth alternate nationally.

Based on qualifying information provided by the United States Golf Association Stephens is the only area player in this year’s field.
