GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - The Atlantic Coast Conference football
title game is headed to Charlotte - but not for a few more years.
The conference on Wednesday awarded its 2008 and 2009 title
games to Tampa, Florida, and Raymond James Stadium, home of the
In 2010 and 2011, the ACC title game will move to Charlotte's
Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers. Charlotte
is also playing host next year to the league's men's basketball
tournament.
The league has previously always played the football
championship game in Jacksonville, Florida.
