GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico (AP) - Clemson's perfect start is over.
The 15th-ranked Tigers fell to Mississippi in the finals of the
San Juan Shootout on Saturday afternoon.
Dwayne Curtis and Chris Warren had 19 points each for the
Rebels, who improved to 11-and-0. That was the mark Clemson hoped
to get to, but were done in as Curtis and Warren combined to hit
four of five foul shots in the final 90 seconds for the 85-to-82
victory.
Mississippi matched its best-ever start, set in 1936-37 and
matched seven years ago.
Terrence Oglesby led Clemson with 20 points. K-C Rivers added 19
points.
