Some Clemson football fans will need to keep some traffic obstacles in mind for the Tigers season opening game at the Georgia Dome.
The Georgia Department of Transportation warns a major highway reconstruction project will slow some metro Atlanta traffic for the August 30 game against Alabama.
The work will begin at 9:00pm on August 29 for Interstate 85 southbound that will be cut down to two lanes near it's merge with Interstate 75. Southbound I-75 will be down to one lane at the merge.
Tiger fans who will head to the Georgia Dome by using I-85 are urged to take Interstate 285 east to Interstate 20 west for access to the stadium and hotels downtown.
The road work will continue until 5:00am on September 2.
