Clemson freshman running back Jamie Harper was back at practice Monday, wearing a yellow jersey designated for injured players, as he recovers from a sprained ankle suffered in Saturday's scrimmage.
Harper was hurt when he was tackled near the sideline by linebacker Brandon Maye.
Head coach Tommy Bowden says he's not been given information on when Harper can return to full speed, or if he'll be available for the Tigers' opener against Alabama, but he hopes to know by later this week.
Harper tells the Charleston Post-Courier that the left ankle he sprained has been injured twice before and that doctors say that may actually enhance the healing process.
