COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Zam Fredrick scored 26 points had eight
assists and pulled down seven rebounds to help South Carolina beat
Radford 90-63 tonight and give coach Dave Odom his 400th career
victory.
The Gamecocks had been letting their opponents hang around. But
South Carolina went on a 19-5 run midway through the first half to
take a 24-15 lead and never trailed again.
Devan Downey added 23 points, while Dominique Archie scored 13
points and had ten rebounds for the Gamecocks.
Martell McDuffy led the Highlanders with 19 points.
Odom reached the 400-win mark in his 22nd season. He has coached
at East Carolina, Wake Forest and South Carolina, where he is
122-91 in seven seasons.
