CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Tyler Whatley had the tying and go-ahead
baskets in the final two minutes for Wofford in an 80-76 win over
The Citadel on Saturday.
Terry Martin scored 17 points and Drew Gibson added 13 for the
Terriers, who recovered after blowing a 15-point first-half lead.
Whatley's three-point play with 1:32 left tied the game. He then
put Wofford ahead to stay with another layup with 1:02 left. Shane
Nichols' two free throws with nine seconds left put it away.
Austin Dahn had 16 points for The Citadel, which went on a 13-2
run to start the second half. The Bulldogs hit 13 of 21 3-pointers.
