JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jeremy Byrd's three-point play with 17
seconds left helped South Carolina-Upstate to a 53-52 win over
North Florida tonight.
The Ospreys led by five with four minutes left, but the Spartans
ended the game on a 10-4 run to win their second Atlantic Sun
Conference game of the season.
Tom Hammonds shot to win the game for North Florida was off the
mark. The Ospreys have lost 15 games in a row.
Luke Payne led the Spartans with 18 points. Byrd added eleven
points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Hammonds led North Florida with 15 points.
