The attorney for the woman who accuses Clemson defensive back D'Andre McDaniel of assaulting her says she will pursue charges against the rising sophomore.
The Charleston Post&Courier quotes Ken Young, a Sumter attorney representing 19-year-old Abra Weeks, as saying he's confident McDaniel will eventually be convicted on the charge of assault of a high and aggravated nature.
On Monday, Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden announced that McDaniel remains an active member of the team but the coach is monitoring the legal process and has yet to decide on McDaniel's status for the regular season.
