Tigers Enter New Charleston Tourney

Clemson coach Oliver Purnell and his wife will host a function to raise funds in the fight against cancer.

Clemson will play in a new eight-team November tournament at the College of Charleston's soon-to-be-opened arena.

The event will guarantee each team three games and takes place Friday November 14th through Sunday November 16th. The championship contest is Sunday at 6:30pm.

Joining the Tigers and Cougars in the field are Temple, TCU, Western Michigan, ETSU, Hofstra, and a yet-to-be-named eighth team.

Meanwhile, Tigers head coach Oliver Purnell has announced that he and his wife Vicki will play host to a fund-raising social event October 7th at the Madren Center on Clemson's campus as part of the Coaches vs. Cancer platform.

The party will include a live band as well as a silent auction.
