Conway--The Boiling Springs baseball team made school history Wednesday night, becoming the first boys team at the school to win a state championship by downing Conway, 5-1, in the AAAA State Baseball Finals.
The Bulldogs won the best-of-three series in Conway, 2-0.
Boiling Springs snapped a 1-1 tie with a four-run second and then rode the pitching of Cameron Holmes to their 24th win of the season.
It was Conway's first home loss in 2008.
