CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson University employees are taking
furloughs to help pay for cuts to the school's budget, and head
football coach Dabo Swinney is calling on the Tiger football
faithful to help out.
Swinney asked Wednesday for fans to come out to Saturday's
spring game and make donations to the One Clemson Furlough Relief
Fund.
Swinney is also challenging Clemson fans to break the 20,000
spring game attendance record.
Clemson officials have announced that each employee would have
to take five unpaid days off to help pay for $25 million in budget
cuts.
Saturday's game is free and open to the public. Fans can make
donations as they enter the stadium gates.
