SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Noah Dahlman scored 20 points and Tim
Johnson added 18 to lead Wofford to an 81-66 win over Western
Carolina on Monday night.
The Terriers (14-12, 10-7 Southern Conference), coming off an
85-82 overtime win over Furman on Saturday, never trailed in
winning their third straight game.
The Catamounts (14-14, 9-9), who beat UNC Greensboro on
Saturday, were trying to win back-to-back road games for the first
time since the 2003-04 season and consecutive conference games for
the first time since 2001-02.
Wofford, which lost to the Catamounts 77-65 on Jan. 31, took a
35-24 halftime lead. Western Carolina made it 43-35 with 15:11
left, but could get no closer.
Brad Loesing added 12 points for the Terriers and Kevin Giltner
had 10.
Harouna Mutombo and Greg Avery scored 14 apiece for the
Catamounts, who shot 37.1 percent (23 of 62).
