Gaffney Boys Win, Dorman Girls Fall

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Gaffney will pursue another AAAA state championship in boys basketball next Friday night after downing Northwestern 68-46 Friday night at the Bi-LO Center in Greenville.

The Indians improved to 24-2 and will face either Fort Dorchester or Goose Creek next Friday night in Columbia.

Dorman's girls had a 13-point lead in the 3rd quarter against Spring Valley in their AAAA upper state final game and had a six point lead late in the fourth but the Lady Vikings from the Columbia area rallied to tie and then took the lead on an Asia Dozier lay-up and free throw with five seconds to play as Spring Valley goes on to the 60-57 victory.

Dorman's season comes to an end at 24-3.
