Each area player in the U.S. Women's Open field improved by 10 strokes in Friday's second round compared to their opening rounds Thursday but it wasn't enough to make the cut.

Furman's Stephanie Kenoyer, a Florida native, shot and even-par 71 Friday and finished at 10-over-par for the championship.

Greer's Haley Stephens, a recent Riverside High graduate who's bound for Texas, posted an eight-over 79.
