Byrnes' season-opening football game against Central Gwinnett in suburban Atlanta has been switched from Friday August 28th to Saturday August 29th and will kick-off at 5:30pm.
The game is part of a doubleheader at North Gwinnett High School and will televised by the regional sports channel CSS. It was moved to Saturday to accommodate CSS's schedule, according to District Five athletic director and Byrnes offensive coordinator Bobby Bentley.
The Rebels are the two-time defending Big 16 state champions and posted a 14-1 record last season. They are ranked number two in the Rivals.com pre-season national poll and feature running back Marcus Lattimore, considered the nation's top prep prospect by many national recruiting services.
