Clemson sophomore linebacker Stanely Hunter has been forced to end his career due to a medical condition, the TigerIllustrated.com website reported Saturday night.

Hunter, a former Byrnes stand-out, had 37 tackles as a true freshman in 2008. He played in all 12 games with one start. He originally signed in 2007 but did not enroll until January.

There was no official release by Clemson and no comment from head coach Dabo Swinney as of Saturday evening.
