Clemson junior first baseman Ben Paulsen was the first area player selected in the Major League Baseball Draft Tuesday night as he was taken in the third round by the Colorado Rockies with the 90th pick overall Tuesday night.
Paulsen his .367 with 13 home runs and 61 runs batted in. He led the team in hitting and RBIs while finishing tied for the team lead in homers.
Several other players were taken Wednesday as the day began with the fourth round.
