South Carolina's Nick Ebert hit two home runs and starting pitcher Sam Dyson struck out 13 in hurling his second career complete game as South Carolina downed Georgia, 7-2, Thursday at Carolina Stadium. The win is USC's 35th on the season and they can get as high as a number five seed for next week's SEC Tourney with a successful weekend against the Bulldogs.
In Raleigh, Clemson pounded-out 15 hits in a 13-8 win over N.C. State. Brad Miller and Mike Freeman had three hits apiece for Clemson which posted win number 37 on the season.
