GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Jeff Gove's bogey-free 65 moved him into
the lead Friday after two rounds of the Nationwide Tour's BMW
Charity Pro-Am.
Gove started Friday two shots off the lead. He birdied two of
his last three holes at the Carolina Country Club to reach 13-under
par and hold a one-stroke lead over Fabian Gomez (68) of Argentina
and Jon Mills (66) of Canada. A group of five golfers another shot
behind includes the tour's leading money winner this season,
Michael Sim (65) of Australia.
The event features celebrities and amateurs teaming up with
Nationwide pros in a best-ball format on three different courses.
Kyle Thompson and former South Carolina Heisman Trophy winner
George Rogers lead that competition at 27-under. They are three
ahead of Sim and singer Javier Colon.
