COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina cornerback C.C. Whitlock
has been suspended again from the team, less than a week after he
had been reinstated.
Whitlock was suspended after he was arrested in Fairfield County
last weekend.
The Fairfield County Sheriff's Department says the 20-year-old
Whitlock was charged with trespassing early Saturday at a nightclub
in Blackstock. Chief Deputy Keith Lewis says Whitlock was arrested
after he refused to leave the club.
USC media relations director Steve Fink says athletes are
immediately suspended when they are arrested.
Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier had said last week Whitlock had
been reinstated after he missed spring practice because of academic
suspension.
Whitlock could not be reached for comment.
